If you’ve ever read up on or experienced the NCSU College of Design, you know we’re basically built for speed. It’s perfect since the design world rarely hits the brakes. I honestly can’t remember a time when I wasn’t cranking out work at full throttle. At this point, even my sleep has a deadline.

I’ve spent plenty of time on small teams tackling big ideas. It’s nothing new to work with limited resources and still come together to build something impactful. Honestly, I think I prefer smaller teams. There’s more room to understand how each person thinks and collaborates, which often leads to sharper, more thoughtful solutions than just blending into the current of a large group.

Whether I was working as a Starbucks barista or part of a design team, I’ve always thrived in flexible roles—stepping in wherever support was needed. I strongly believe in teamwork and collaboration, and I’m always ready to reach out or offer help so we can succeed and win as a team.
